Former Calvin Klein exec will be Banana Republic’s CEO

It’s a homecoming for Donald Kohler, who began his career at the Gap brand, where he spent a decade in various merchandising roles.

PVH names new Americas CEO amid executive shuffle

Adelyn Cheong, president of PVH China, will succeed Donald Kohler, who is leaving to become CEO of Banana Republic.

The store reestablishes the brand’s presence in the city and follows openings in Paris and Tokyo.

Heather Archibald, who has also held roles at RH and Gap Inc., will oversee design, merchandising and sourcing for the brand.

Fisher and her husband Donald founded the company in 1969. The first Gap store opened in San Francisco and only sold men’s jeans and music.

The executive, who spent almost 30 years at Nike, will take over the top spot in September following Calvin McDonald’s exit earlier this year.
